Team Days for Banks & City Companies with Policies of Corporate Social Responsibilty. Community Art with Children

LYNDONS ARTS TRUST

Lyndons Arts Trust aims to create artwork relevant to the local community, ethnic diversity and conservation, whilst expanding the minds of children. Since 1996 the charity has been working with Primary Schools in some of London’s most socially deprived areas running ‘Art in the Community’ programmes. The aim is to give the children an opportunity to be creative using art forms that are not usually available to them, such as book-making, ceramics, mosaics, textiles, printmaking and collage.
Citizen Team Days are an ideal way to bring together your staff and children from the local community. The staff may be from different departments and at different levels, whilst bonding and getting a better understanding of each other they can be making a vital contribution to children from socially deprived areas. Being positive role models and offering the opportunity to interact with adults (other than teachers and parents), they will be creating visually exciting art forms that will remain with the Primary schools. Team Days can range from one day to three days activities, involving 10 -15 volunteers. All the schools we are involved with are close to offices in the City.

Currently, the focus is on book making projects with a number of Primary schools, featuring the history of their local community. The results are digitally recorded and downsized to book form with the help of students and graduates in book design and binding.
Lyndons will provide the corporate volunteers with professional artists and co-ordinators on the Team Building Days. Costs range from £1,500 per day down to £500 per day for a simple version.

Funding & Administration
Lyndons is primarily run by volunteers, only 5% of the total income is spent on administration, the rest goes towards the projects.
